The Assessing Department will be mailing postcards this fall to properties that are in need of review. The postcard information is below. If you need this information translated into another language, use the "Enable Google Translate" button in the lower right corner of the screen. This tool will then translate the information on this webpage.
Assessing records indicate one or both of the following:
An incomplete or ongoing project is associated with your property. Allowing the appraiser to review the project, even if it is not complete, will result in a more accurate assessment of its impact rather than an estimation, which they will be required to do.
A recent sales transaction is associated with your property. The Assessing Department reviews all sales annually. When there are differences between City Assessing records and sales information, an interior review is requested by the City Assessing Department in order to reconcile the differences and determine a more accurate assessment.
